About the Artist:
Maddi Ward is an artist and graphic designer whose work is inspired by natural simplicity.
Her artworks are an extension of her lived experience and growth while living on Wailwan Country after moving to Coonamble in 2017.
Maddi connects with her Aboriginal culture through the ancient practice of weaving. This holds a special place in her heart, being able to contribute to its continuation and explore her identity.
She also creates functional, nostalgic pieces of leatherwork.
